Here are the Mens results... I think his nickname is "Silk" but Wei-Lin from Taipei deserves the title as more than a half second separated him and 2nd place. Wouter brought in 6th place so it will be interesting to here if track conditions played any part in the results or performance of the athletes.

UPDATE -- Still no results yet which is weird... either Im on crack or something is holding up the event. On the www.timeanddate.com website that I use for time across the world its about 9:45am... Hmmm. Well onto other tidbits. I found out that Sara has her bib number as #1 !! lol Awesome! well maybe.... if her bib number is the starting number then I bet she may have wanted to go a little earlier but then again maybe not! Shes 17th on the list of some sort of listing on the website but I cant tell what that means at all... soooo Im still waiting! :-)

World Games Commercial...

Well I did find some video... actually I watched this a while back and thought "I cant wait for the real deal" looks like that may not pan out but hey... the commercial isnt bad! ;-)

China's Athletes... No show for Opening Ceremonies...

No doubt a snub to Taiwans continued efforts to break away from the mainland China's Athletes were obviously told not to attend the opening ceremonies where the President of Taiwan announced the opening of the games... From what I have read it was a move by China to NOT lend any legitimacy to Taiwans President.

Lame if you ask me that politics has to be introduced into an athletic event of this caliber... but if it happens at the Olympics then why not there?

2009 Kaohsiung -- You'd think coverage would be better...

Man I tell ya... I didnt have this much trouble finding an internet feed for the European inline championships last year and this event in Taiwan is much bigger stuff!

Ive been everywhere and the language barrier is a tough hurdle to get over when you're on websites and Google translating cant get it either.

I may have found another link... this first one was junk and didnt really come up with anythin... had to install a program to watch their specific codec etc etc... for me its no big deal on a sandboxed computer that i can wipeout in a heartbeat... For others, id hear about it if all of a sudden your computer got turned into a bot. :-(

Soooo opening Ceremonies are happening as I type its nearly 10pm there and I know they were scheduled to run from 9:30 - 11:00pm and in HD no less!!
