LOL well I left work yesterday and sniffed the air... hmmm smells like rain. A quick call to the wife confirms that its raining back at home. My dumb arse doesnt ask how bad before hanging up. So what do I do?? I dont roll up any of the windows in the convertible and off I got down 680.
Well I got to Danville before the first drops got onto the windshield... hmmm this might be close I thought to myself. Then the skys opened up! man oh man... but still... not a whole lot of rain was getting into the car believe it or not! People were looking at me kind of funny but I knew I couldnt reach over and roll up the windows on the freeway... not a good idea. Pulling over was a dicey decision as I know 680 traffic and rain like this spells disaster for traffic and the commute.
Soooo... I keep going! Hahaha well when I got into Concord the traffic thickened up alot and cars where now behind one another and throwing up alot of water... I got soaked! water was dripping in from the top seal which i have yet to replace... duh on my part for waiting... lesson learned hopefully.
I drive into the garage that my kind wife opened before my arrival and my poor baby was drenched! had to take out the floor mat as they were soaked. But I guess he upside is the cars cleaner than it was when I left yesterday for work!
Need to get my Impala up and running again... I hate the rain in the convertible!
